Lamberts Bay

Saldanha

Saldanha - one of the great natural harbours of the world, this is the deepest, largest natural port in South Africa. Situated 60nm north west of Cape Town, West Coast of Africa grid 33°00 S 17°56 E. The sea area of this natural port is 18300 ha with 91km in circumference, so in area it will easily accommodate all other South African ports, and can facilitate some of the largest sea going vessels - up to`21.5m draft.

Vredenburg

The Business centre of the West Coast - Vredenburg was established by the early settlers, and originally called Twisfontein. As this area had the only freshwater spring, there were many village squabbles over the watering rights and after mediation by the local Church, resolution was found and it was renamed Vredenburg.
