Koringberg is a little town close to the Great Berg river where open country roads and wheat fields abound. This is the perfect place to enjoy the stars and a good South African braai, interesting insects both great and small, cows, sheep, ducks, chickens, guinea fowl and even the odd falcon.

Paternoster - Latin for "Our Father". Situated 15km north-west of Vredenburg is Paternoster, a charming traditional fisherman's village. The beautiful beaches and rocky bays offer many activities: whale watching, sea kayaking, hiking & much more. Tietiesbaai is a camp site situated in the Cape Columbine Nature Reserve, which is only 3 km away. The last manually controlled lighthouse in South Africa was built in 1936 and can be viewed by visiting the Reserve.

Better known as the "Potato Capital" of the West Coast Sandveld region. Redelinghuys has a true magical beauty of its own and features one of the largest natural wetlands on the West Coast. The Verlorenvlei is a bird lover's haven, attracting a wide variety of permanent and migratory birds. The Verlorenvlei can be explored on foot, or spend a day paddling on its calm waters.
Saldanha - one of the great natural harbours of the world, this is the deepest, largest natural port in South Africa. Situated 60nm north west of Cape Town, West Coast of Africa grid 33°00 S 17°56 E.
The sea area of this natural port is 18300 ha with 91km in circumference, so in area it will easily accommodate all other South African ports, and can facilitate some of the largest sea going vessels - up to`21.5m draft. 
Also known as "Agterbaai", this tranquil country village has a bustling fishing harbour.

The Business centre of the West Coast - Vredenburg was established by the early settlers, and originally called Twisfontein. As this area had the only freshwater spring, there were many village squabbles over the watering rights and after mediation by the local Church, resolution was found and it was renamed Vredenburg.
